While some may argue "how can you be a professor, you're not even 30 yet?!" My response typically is a mixture of words and statements such as, 'next generation,' 'energy,' 'unique background,' and 'perspective.'

I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for all of these experiences (and MANY other LIFE experiences).
I also don't believe I would be a very effective teacher/leader if I hadn't had all these experiences.
All of those experiences brought a new perspective to how I see the world, career, life, etc.
This perspective has allowed me to connect and share the importance of perspective to my students, which I feel (I may be wrong?) they value due to me having this perspective, yet being in close proximity in age.
Anyways, I write this post not to share the many experiences I've had so far, but to encourage you to keep in mind that everyone has a different perspective based upon their past experiences.
What may not be important to you, may mean the world to someone else.
I think we should all be mindful of this.
